L273 titanic 14"

Post by Ralph Schafthuizen »

hey,

Tomorrow i got a new 14" L273 titanic red pleco, it is a huge male with a lots of long spines on his caudal fins and body. into the catalogue they say that the L273 never get bigger than 12 inch. but i post tommorow some pics of the 14'r L273 beside a 12" ruler. I'm very proud on my new pseudacanthicus. I''m very busy to take all the big minimal 12" pseudacanthicus species in my county(Holland). including a 12" L24 and a 12" L25. the tank wil upgrade soon to a 330 gallon tank. tomorrow i post the pics of the fish and the setup.

tnx for reading.

If by catalogue, you mean the Cat-eLog, then I'd like to point out that the Cat-eLog uses the scientific measure called "Standard length". That is the length from the tip of the nose to the end of the beginning of the caudal (tail) fin. That means that if you measure your fish from "end to end", you probably have about 2 inches of tail, if not more.

Congratulations on the new purchase... I wish I had space for something that big (although I would probably start with a couple of L14 myself...)
