Hi there,
New here, but I've been lurking and reading posts especially in this section (I'm a self-professed cory addict ). I'm currently in the process of (fishless) cycling my second tank, which is 24"x12"x12" (54L) with 1mm gravel substrate (~2cm), AquaClear HOB filter, and bubble wall. I'm planning to host mostly, if not all, smaller species of cories in this tank. Would love to be able to breed them too someday.
So far I have 6x c. Habrosus on my list - heard great things about them, even though I've never seen them in person (but a local importer has them in stock). I've been thinking about mixing them either with c. Panda (4x or 6x?) or c. Pygmaeus (6x?), but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. I heard that Pygmaeus like to be in the middle level of the tank (never seen them IRL either), so that might complement the Habrosus on the bottom. Do you think I'll be better sticking with just the Habrosus (and maybe some tetras for the mid-level), especially for breeding purpose? Anyone with experience mixing Habrosus with either Panda or Pygmaeus? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks & Cheers!
