The only improvements that I could possibly make to this: are as follows:-
1) compare the 'normal' and recent nitrate levels (assuming that they have been taken on a weekly (or even monthly ) basis.
2) Ask whether the diet has been led by a rather protein-based alternative - it is possible that someone may have dropping in 'tidbits' (without knowing the possibly harmful consequences).
Otherwise, the post apppears to be a powerful and authoritative (despite your admission of assistance - no harm in that, either/or in fact; it may prove to be a form strength.
