My new Royal!!!
Hey folks!
Finally, after waiting a loooong time, I have my newest addition to my tank. It's a beatiful 3 inch Royal Pleco! A friend who works at my LFS had to fight with the owner to convince him to order this beauty in for me, and was I ever happy when it arrived today!
bigger versions of the pics are on my album @

Looking forward to what the Panaque pros of PC have to say about my little guy

thanks all for your comments, and thanks to Shane for the confimation of him being a true P. nigrolineatus. I was pretty sure he was, but i know it's a fish that can have several deviations.
I got a chance to observe him interacting with his tankmates after work this morning. He decided he wanted to steal the prime hiding spot of my dominant male L187b. They had a bit of a scuffle and the L187b ended up backing down, which was a first for him. I think I have a new boss of the tank now!
He's eating well. He took a good chunk out of the fresh Zuchini I put in before leaving for work last night, and put away the better part of a large algae wafer this morning. So far he's fitting in great
