L255 discoloration concern
L255 discoloration concern
Last night I noticed a slight discoloration on one of my L255's - either side of the front of the dorsal fin. I cannot see anything else, and the fish is otherwise (in my opinion) looking healthy. What could this be ? I'm quite concerned as I lost one of these within the first couple of days (2) of arriving (that was probably about 7 weeks ago now - and it had similar discoloration
I know the pic isn't that great, and it hardly seems visible, but that's the best I could do.
Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10, Ammonia 0, PH 8.2 (I know the PH is high, could this be it ?)

Oh my goodness Paul! that looks exactly the same !
I'm definitely somewhat relieved to see those pictures. But do you mind me asking how long you've had yours and how long they've had those marking ? I was about to treat them today for possible bacterial infection, but if it's not necessary, I won't.
Thanks.

I dont have those particular ones anymore, but i always keep them around, i have 7 or 8 of them and the L034, they always have it, it just shows more sometimes, the 255 and the 34 dont show it as much when they are happy and all dark, but shine a bright light on them and you can see it. The ones I have now have been in their tank two months, and it will still show under light, and they are fat n sassy
