Where did you get that cool tree root?
Also, how do your synodontis interact with the real plants. Do they seem to appreciate them, are they present in large quantities in thier natural environments?

BTW the setup looks awesome.

CEfire,the artificial mangrove roots are made by Algarde.I could only find them here http://www.fishybits.co.uk/acatalog/.
in aquarium ornaments,artificial woods.
They look really cool once they are in the tank and start to get a little build up of algae on them.

oh, petsmart sells those tree root decorations. That looks like the smaller size type. I could be wrong. I recently bought two of the largest size they sell for my 55g. They really are nice. They were $18 each.
