How long should I quarantine?

Post by dlrzrwlf »

I was just wondering how long I should quarantine a Panaque Maccus to be sure he doesn't transfer disease to any other catfish? He has been in quarantine for about a week and seems healthy, no spots or rot, and is eating enthusiastically. Should I wait another couple of weeks or transfer him to the community tank?

A month is ideal, but I would consider two weeks the minimum.
