If it is a true L-253 from the Rio Xingu then I would have to say quite a bit. If it is only the close relative L-14 then probably not as much. I think most of Rio Xingu is off limits now right? If so, any Xingu fish should go up in price due to quantity being low. I know I'd like to own some L-253's.

Pier Aquatics in wigan had 9" L253's about 2 year's ago for £90, may i ask why you want to know how much he is worth??, the Xingu is only off limit's for a while, once the water level goes down a bit they can catch the fish again.

Kev.
Put me dinner in the oven, im off to the Xingu!!!.

Certainly isn't L-14 and more likely L-253.

I'm not an expert, but I'd say that if you think of it as a L14 with different colouring, you won't be that far off. So size of 30-35cm SL, and feed it a mix of meat and vegetable. Quite warm water is probably a good idea too, about 26-28'C.

And 15 quid seems like a pretty good price, I've seen similar ones for about 20-30 quid. A 4" L14 is supposed to be around 40-50 quid according to my LFS.
