C. apurensis size

Post by ReD »

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how large a C. apurensis will grow, and also how fast do they grow? The reason I am asking is because I need to start planning my eventual tank for the little hellian  !!!!

Comparing the fish in Amiidae's post to photos in Romano's "Los Bagres" the fish in that link looks like C. apurensis. ReD, your fish looks darker with a slight color pattern and more conical head, but I realize it could also be the angle the photo was taken at.

Yea I did take the photo at an odd angle to get rid of the flash. I did notice from my pics that the head looks kind of distorted. I will try and get some better ones soon!!

I sure wish I knew what species he/she is :? !

thanks for all your help....
