My 2nd tank

Finally got my 2nd tank decorated and running, time for some inhabitants

6 Mikrogeophagus Altispinosa and 4 Corydoras Haralschutzi from my 1st tank and bought 6 L260s and a breedingcave today:

And I replaced the Eheim 2211 with a Professionel 2224 for a lot more current and filtation in de tank

Nice setup, Maarten! Happy hiding places.

I have the Eheim Pro running on a 75 gal.tank. I had to look at the sight glass on the filter to make sure it was operating. It was so quiet! Best wishes with your new tank.

I didn;t like the open space in the tank so I bought a chunck of wood

It's starting to look like a part of the Tapajos River now

A teaspoon should be fine.. if the metal would dissolve into the water we'd all have metal poisonings from stirring our coffee.. AFAIK.

Yupp, I'd agree with that. If it's a salt-water tank, that would be significantly different. [Or extremely low (<2) or high (>13) pH, but then the fish wouldn't be very happy either].

As long as the spoons (or whatever) is stainless steel that is. If you have the type of spoons sometimes used in Indian restaurants as serving spoons, made from Bronze or something like that, you shouldn't use them in the tank.

Are there any rivalitys between the catfish`s

Beacouse of the metall-problem:
1.Acid (coming from CO2 or black peat) solve the
not-preciouse metalls
1.Chlor (Cl) makes Steel oxigen
2.deion. water makes steel solve, but needs many time
3.If there are preciouser metalls in your water they will
change there place with the Ni Cr or Fe

I know this becouse I`m electroplater
