Please ID my new cat............fowleri??? apurensis????

Post by ReD »

A couple of days ago I was at an LFS and I saw this catfish labeled "pacamao catfish". After observing him for a little while I decided to purchase him for 65 dollars. Well as soon as I released him in my tank he immediately attacked my senegal bichir  . So after a little research and some help from my fellow Waterwolves members I believe I have gotten eiter fowleri or apurensis. Is this correct? Also if it is apurensis do you think you could give me some basic information about them like size, diet, temperment, etc?????

It's not easy to tell the two apart externally.

A bit hard to tell without looking at the caudal fin.
