I know this is totally nuts, but I had the oddest dream last night. All of my fish got out of their tanks and went outside. It had to be late Spring or Summer because there was no snow on the ground, but no leaves were falling. They were sitting on the lawn. I said,"Was it the food?" The Chaestoma lifted his fin and poo'd. It flew in my face. They went off into the woods together. I woke up.
Anybody else have dreams with their fish in them?

dreaming of my fish
I have dreamed of my fish in the past. Nothing really that wacked out though. Just thinking about them before falling asleep i believe would trigger the nice dreams.

fish in dreams...ABSOLUTELY !!
my wife regularly shares her dreams w/ Duke our deceased
Leiarius pictus. they've swum in the ocean and rivers and walked across the desert together.
admittedly this Duke (after Ellington) was some amazing catfish...fed from our fingers exclusively and communicated in many ways. he's never visited my dreams but after he died I erected a Buddhist style shrine in our yard to mark his grave.
I've never had a pet, warm blooded or cold, who elicted that kind of response from me.
we had a plague that killed Duke and several other large fish w/ names. it's awful but sometimes there is no defense.
THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS HOBBY IS LOSING YOUR FRIENDS TO THINGS LIKE THE HERPES VIRUS AND DESPITE ALL EFFORTS NOT BEING ABLE TO HELP.
I could cry for him now.

My friend just said the same thing about losing one of her Goldies. It is awful. I recently had to make the decision to euthanize one of my very first fish: a Zebra Danio. She was 5 years old. My brother had her for 2-1/2 years, I had her the rest. She had a massive tumor and couldn't eat anymore. The other 3 Danios are still lively, but they just stopped breeding about 2 months ago.
