The 2nd looks like a female to me, but I am not certain.

I have had a bunch of different answers on this. I was told by the guy that sold them they were both females, two people said male and female and one male and male. Im really confused now. I do appreciate the responses though. Hopefully I can get this figured out. Ive read the articles on how to tell and still cant figure it out myself.

The first picture is definitely a male. I'd bet on it. The angle of the second picture makes it hard to be sure either way. A few more pictures would be much more apt to get you an accurate "guesstimate". The size of the fish will also help in determining what factors to look for.

Here is a bottom pic of the one in question (2nd pic). He or she just happened to be on the glass of my tank right now. By the way, Does anyone have a clue on those 2 bumps by the left gill???

The males have a 'spine' (he told me what it was called, but I forgot) on the gill cover, the females don't, that's what a friend of mine told me. I have never tried to sex them myself, but maybe, if you can find a spine, this may help you. Good luck!

The bump MAY be encapsulated worms(if the bump is not growing, red, sore etc), if so they are harmless, waiting for a bird or something to eat your fish and then they will grow in the predator. I had some of those in my gouramis once. If the bump does anything, then it's not the worm and needs attention.
