ok guys heres my problem a freind of a girl I work with showed up at work and left two buckets of fish for me when I wasent there she had them in a 40 gallon tank and all they did was fight no suprise as there is 3 convicts and 2 feater fin snyos 3 upside down synos and a syno njassae with a 6 inch common pleco for good measure my problem is Im for now stuck with these fish and had to do some tank shufling to split up all these synos now they all seem to be flashing as do the convicts what can I use to medicate the synos there seem to be no outer signs of disease I plan on keeping the synos hopefully

Syno's seem to get the short end in "some" dealers tanks and in this case your friends friends tank,I have picked some up that are in pretty rough shape(I don't really recommend this but with some fish you have to pick them up when you can)usually when given some space, good food and time they can come back quite well on their own,if you are worried about ich the high heat treatment works well,but I would wait for further signs before starting this.
I know what it is like to take on other peoples cast off fish but I wish someone would leave me a whole bucket of syno's
