Belodontichthys truncatus

Post by ctarry »

ok, so i am going to be getting one of these at the begining of march that is 8" long.

I have read the info that is on this site, but my question is, are these active during the day, or do they like to hide during the day and only come out in the dark?

and also, anyone know how fast these grow?

Thanks

They are not very active during the day, but like many other silurids, they rest hovering in midwater, so you should still be able to see the fish. They are more active at night, but hungry enough, can be seen feeding during the day.

thanks for that. the tank its going to go in doesn't have a light, just the light from the other tanks and lights from the room, so it should be fine

any idea how fast they grow
