"colored" cory?
i've been to this fish store today and they had some albino cories; the difference was that their tails were colored: blue, purple, pink, and they were labeled "colored cory cats". i couldnt find it here; so, does anyone know anything about it??? i swear they looked like someone actually painted their tails!!

They are dyed albino corys, and have been around for some time.
Sort of like an albino version of this.

that's exactly what happened. It´s bad for Corydoras health and, definitely, is a fraud to the buyer.chrisinha wrote: i swear they looked like someone actually painted their tails!!
I took a pic of an aeneus dyed on red some days ago:

Do not buy any of these "dyed" fish - it is a disgrace what lengths folks will go to to try and make a buck. Nice Corys weren't selling fast enough before, so they had to dye them?
Please...
You also might consider letting your LFS know that you don't wish to buy from establishments that carry these dyed fish - this will carry some weight with most places, and of course there are those that really don't know any better (though they should by now), and you'll be helping to educate them and liberate fishes from this very inhumane treatment.
