Cat-eLog for Synodontis Angelicus...
it says that the fish reaches 160mm SL.
Fishbase says 550 mm (55cm) TL.
That's a discrepancy of about 300%...
Does anyone know which one is right? Or is the tail that long?

I have a Angelicus that is just over 7" long and has grown very slightly since i got him. I have always been told the maximum size is 25cm...

Hi,
there's another thing you could do, i.e. contacting Gert Boden at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren (Belgium). He works for FishBase and he's responsible for the input of information on African fishes (especially freshwater species). His e-mail address is: gert.boden@africamuseum.be.
David.

Yes, I will change this in the next upload. BTW, that size was typed in by me in 1996!MatsP wrote:So shouldn't the Cat-eLog be updated to reflect this?
