Missing Barbels

Post by mambee »

I have a school of mixed Cories, mostly Adolfoi, in my 150 gallon community tank. I have noticed that most of them are missing their barbels. I have never noticed any fish picking on them and the substrate is flourite.

What is causing this problem, and will the barbels regrow.

My fish include a Black Ghost Knife, Geophagus, Blockhead and other catfish. Is it possible that my BGK is doing the damage at night.

I feel so sorry for the little guys.

mambee,

Have a read on the sticky at the head of this forum and supply a little more information, but having said that this subject comes up very regularly so a little search into the previous post on the subject may put you in touch with the answer.
