help identify my little baby

:D i got this little fella(little huh) of a friend of mine when i got him he was about 5" now hes about 2.5 foot its a good job i have a 8' tank could you help me identify and name him i think he is a cross between a shovel nose and somthing else maybe a red tail or yellow tail cat does he have a scientific (sp) :oops: name so i can google and read up on him

:o after reading some of the other topics disucused on this forum i do hope this fish is not a cross between rtc/tsn as then that would be upsetting as he will outgrow my aquaria and i dont have room or finances to support a 5'
fish will he grow to the said sizes of these monster cat (not very home aquaria for me) please help and answer my question

:cry: OK THANKS for the reply im gutted nowi was kinda hoping it was not one of those hybrids as i have had him for a year and he has seemed to stop growing however this can not be the case am im going to have to find alternate arangements for him ill phone my lfs and see if they can help i dont want to see him hurt and me keeping him would only lead to his welfare being in jepody

i say they should not sell a fish with an attainable size of 3-5' :( i am saddened by the lack of respect some lfs have selling big cats to anyone who has the cash to buy them
