Post by Silurus »

Knaack, J, 2004. Ergänzende Bemerkungen zu Corydoras diphyes Axenrot & Kullander, 2003 (Teleostei: Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) aus Paraguay. Zoologische Abhandlungen (Dresden) 54: 107-135.

The paper is in German, the English translation of the title being "Supplementary notes to Corydoras diphyes Axenrot & Kullander, 2003 (Teleostei: Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from Paraguay".

The English abstract:

The diagnostic features and the relationships of the recently described Corydoras diphyes Axenrot & Kullander, 2003 (Teleostei: Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from Paraguay are discussed, particularly to C. flaveolus R. v. Ihering, 1911 and C. cochui Myers & Weitzman, 1954. C. bertoni Eigenmann in Eigenmann & Allen, 1942 is considered as a valid species. The habitat requirements, courtship and the early development of the fry are demonstrated and discussed.
