I work at the Wildlife World Zoo's aquarium, and recently our lionfish (marine) tank broke out in ich, and it looks like our discus are suffering as well.
What is the best way for me to disinfect my arms and hands after I come home from work, so I can work on my own tanks without the risk of contaminating my own?

But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I will be unique in all the world..... You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.

Taratron I have never brought home a single case of ich from the work tanks. Just wash your hands with soap and water and rinse well and you shouldn't have any problem. I doubt your hands are staying damp enough on the drive home to cause you concern. Does that ease your mind? Washing your hands with a good antibacterial soap isn't dangerous to your fish, as long as you rinse well afterwards, and dry your hands thoroughly.
