Brochis Splendens with Gas Bubble Disease

Post by thegirlundertherainbow »

In a 125 gal planted tank..did a quick test of water levels are ok. I just got 5 of these guys Fri..they are about 3" long. The side of the tank with Plants (the other side is just gravel and holey rock) has deep substrate in some areas..but does have a bubble disk in the middle.
When I was first re stocking this tank a few mo's ago.. I had a C. Trilineatus or 2 get a bubble by a fin..these went away on their own. at the time, I wasn't able to catch them..
With the Brochis, the bubble is larger (of course this is a MUCH large fish too)..and a little behind the gill area..but a very clearl bubble just like the others..
Suggestions on treating etc? Still not so sure what causes this in an established tank..except there IS an area in a corner behind a piece of large, flat driftwood that ALL the cories and other bottomfeeders like to "stockpile" in ..and rest..er whatever..together..and not alot of flow back there probly.
Sweet Dreams sweeter realities.
