Hello all,
I am sure that many of you know Jerry Miranda, if not personally, though his various contributions to Planet Catfish (photos, article, etc.).
I must report here that Jerry passed away about two weeks ago. His contributions to the hobby will be missed.

Lee,
Sad news, I was hoping that Jerry would be amongst many US aquarists I was hoping to meet for the first time in October.

I only found out Jerry died a little while ago. He was the single most helpful fish-friend and guru I've had. I met a bunch of you at the RI auction about 2 years ago and the fish trip to Eastern Upstate New York.
Jerry was an incredibly generous man who shared his knowledge freely and was always there for a phone call if I had questions. Even though I resisted his urging to start with Tropheus, seeing his fish room and gorgeous tropheus set him apart in my fish-universe forever. I have some of his beloved petricola still swimming in my tanks.
Jerry, you were a good friend and guru. I'll miss you deeply.
Godspeed,
Nelson from Brooklyn
