Can anyone tell me how big Starlight Brittlenose's (L183) grow to. I am thinking of getting one but my tank is only 20gal/uk.

Hi!

I have seen a lot of different range of size for these:

Datz L-nummern book state that L183 ( ) can grow up to 20cm.

I have seen some speciemens being around 4-5in and others growing up to 20cm and possibly more.
Both had the exact same coloratin at the juvenil stage, white spot and the typical white seam on the impaired fins... I pretty sure that several species are being imported under that name...

The problem is that even if not coming from the Rio Negro, exportators will sell these as L183 or L59 since it is more attractive to customer than any other name or L-number...
