One more channel cat question.

Post by SimonW »

I just now remembered this and forgot to put it in the other thread.

How do channels like current?

My filter puts out a lot of current in my tank, but I have it turned down slightly. Turning it down seems to have made them a little less active. With messy cats, the more filtration, the better...so I was wondering if I should turn it back up?

They favor slower stretches of rivers and don't like stronger currents, but a weak to moderate current should be fine.

Thanks, Silurus! I'll keep it turned down.
