I bought it as an Angelicus Peckoltia (Hypancistrus sp. (L004)), but i don't think that this is the right name... :?

HI!

I would agree with Mallemalle...

The body shape looks similar to the Pseudancistrus sp L67 from the RIo Xingu...

here are a few pic to compare:

L17 (which actually should be L67..!!;-)
LDA32 coming from the Rio Tapajos, the seam in the fins is not so yellow, a bit more orange ...

Cheers

It's not gold nugget due to the lack of the yellow fringe on the dorsal,It does loook alot like L081 though,Especially the eyes.

I don't think it is an L-017 , having that fish I find it to be slimmer, flatter, generally more elongated and having a wider mouth. Particularly on the photo from undreneath.

Have you looked at L-003 and also L-086 ?

The eye looks ancistrus like as several spotted ancistrus exhibit spotted eyes and the golden edge on the tail fin (which looks similar to L-017) can be variable especially on young fish.

How big is it?
