Liposarcus sp "Chocolate"

i have a few of these chocolate plecos, and was wondering if there is any info about them you could provide. i searched the site and got some hits, all seem to come back with a 404 error. spec i want to know if it is advisable to lower their temp to 72 deg or so.

Rick,
the info in the Catalog area say's 27-30 degrees...I'm not sure if that's what you meant by a search...

well, i guess the l270 is a chocolate zebra and not my fish. mine were sold to me in canada as 'chocolate plecos' and are 4" or so now, and resemble a common pleco in an orange or light brown colour- nothing as fancy as the chocolate zebra for sure. i have seen them advertised as vanilla plecos at another store. they eat huge sword plants for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will attach to the sides of discus too. but they are really great for my geophagus brasiliensis/ crenicichla proteus tank so far, but the cichlids are not over 5" yet. if anyone has any idea what they could be, speak up please, but i am just going to lower the temp of that tank to 72 deg or so and see what happens. they were 4 bucks each and they are running out of friends.

at least the pic they show is pretty similar. but that fish illustrated on the planetcatfish site looks nothing like mine.

Hi!

I have seen these "Chocolate" Liposarcus here in shop, not really an albinos (no red eye) but they have a orange/brown coloration...they are a Man made species... they grow big: 30 something cm... they have the same requirement than the other Liposarcus spp...
