Bottom feeder compatibility

Post by MissMinerva »

Hi all,
My 55 is ready for fish and I want to make sure I'm not going to have problems putting the following together: 1 adult male bristlenose, 2 juvie synodontis eupterus and 8 assorted cories. These are from my smaller tanks.

Appreciate any info on these guys! Thanks :D

They should be alright, at least until the Synos get large enough to bully the cories. In my experience, some eupterus stay very quiet and reserved and others can be real monsters at times. The Ancistrus will be able to hold his own, no problem. Just make sure you make plenty of hiding spots for all of them.

Thanks, Barbie! I will keep an eye on the Synos. Right now they are smaller than the Paleatus! I will make sure everyone has their own territory/refuges.
