my fella looks a bit spotted ... while the hoppei looks patchy (layman description

) and think there's a patch under the dorsal fin, and another between the caudal fin and the dorsal fin.
How can I go about verifying if the fella in my pic is a o. hoppei?

I think it's more likely . Otocinclus hoppei has a single spot at the base of the caudal fin, while O. macrospilus has two.

I have three of these they are O.Macrospilus.
