what's this guy, please. I've been calling him Panaque nigro-dotty-otus for fun.
ID my panaque (?)
thanks so much! I checked in the cat-elog and that's definitely it. I guess some have lines on their face and some just have dots? Is it like an age thing, maybe?
Also, have you ever kept them? Mine has an AMAZINGLY caved in abodomen. In any other panaque (or loricariid for that matter) I've kept, I'd be taking him to the toilet... but, he's been holding for a few weeks now and is actually much more active recently.
I assume he's a wood eater, from his serious teeth and his panaque looks. So, I have two different flavors of driftwood in there. I also have zuchini, algae wafers, bloodworms, blackworms and tetrabits going in there for the other plecos and the eartheaters that share the tank. How can I get him to fill out?
edit: ok, I didn't read the cat-elog info. Peas it is... and I guess the lines are constant. But any experience with caved-in bellies would be appreciated.
