I was told they are Apollo catfish - Is this true?

I think you heard Hoplo catfish wrongly. Now known as
Megalechis personata

get them to breed man! bubble discs, water changes, the lot. mine take 36 hours to spawn from whenever you want to do a water change. mint! 8)
