stressed ancistrus?

Post by Andy »

Hi,

My brother has a captive-bred ancistrus of about an inch long that has lost its spots. It had spots when it was bought and he is curious as to whether or not it has lost its spots because of stress. I´ve said it might be so but I´d appreciate any other opinions.

thanks all,

Andy

How long has it been without it's spots? stressed ancistrus do lose there spots sometimes. Have you looked into reasons as to why it might be stressed, tank mates, water conditions... ect?

The spots have been gone for a couple of days and it's a fairly overstocked tank in my opinion. The ancistrus in question was the latest addition.
