New to Board...pleco ID question
Hi,
I'm glad I found this board as I'm having trouble IDing my pleco's. The store where I purchased them called them Red Gibbicep Plecos.
Has anyone ever heard of them?? If so, I'm looking for a link with more information on them. Thanks for the help.

How many did you purchase and what size is the tank? These can be very territorial to their own kind and also get fairly large. I currently have one that is approx. 21".I'm glad I found this board as I'm having trouble IDing my pl*co's. The store where I purchased them called them Red Gibbicep pl*cos.

Is the pl*c in question have a reddish color in it's body or is it more like the tail and dorsal fin are red or tipped in red? I purchased a Flame gibby that turned out to be a L114 Leopard Cactus. A picture would be extremely helpful.
Pardon my cough, I have a bad case of MTS!
I'm going to have to take a picture of them and post them. I presently have a 46 gallon bow front but I'm hoping to get a bigger tank.
The 2 of them are about 2 1/2 inches in length and don't bother the other fish in the tank (and hopefully they won't). The person at the store said their back fin and tail will be a red colour.
