Cool Pleco shirt

Post by PlecoRising »

I found this shirt while surfing. The pleco's real name is "Plecy" (pretty original)

Or you could open your own CafeShop, use your own pictures, not have that dumb logo on the back, and not pay the marked up price, but set it to the lowest cost there is (from memory 3-4 years go memory) which is like $10 or something like that.

Maybe we can get a series of Planet Catfish shirts. You know... "Shane Linder went to Rio Xingu and got this cool catfish, sixy-two leeches, hundreds of bugbites and a case of malaria AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS STUPID SHIRT!"

Okay, maybe not. But seriously, I can see the opening-sceen zebra or the head-on Catfish Of The World (forums logo) on a t-shirt, easy. And I wouldn't mind seeing "visit me at PlanetCatfish.com" on the shirt, either!

Ya know what's funny? I would buy 3 of those shirts if you make them with just that wording and a big picture of a colorful pleco, LOL!

Thanks

I'd buy that shirt myself! The current one would say "I spent six months on the Tigris River enduring mortar and rocket attacks and did not see one damn catfish!"

But they do! They've shipped to me as I tried out a few things before I launched the site.

Would there be any way to get the Planet Catfish symbol on a shirt that's a different color than white? I would love to wear the PC logo, but I don't wear white, so maybe on a black or navy shirt? Is that possible?

Yeah, that was the stumbling block the last time I looked at this. I'll need to see if black is now an option.

Cheers,

That's what I like, subtlety! So, a black t-shirt with the gold nugget pic - you'd like that?

If it's visible without a microscope I'd buy one!

The reason I won't buy a PC shirt now is
#1; i don't wear white, only black
#2: i don't wear anything with tiny logo's.....I really hate "lacoste-looking" stuff and if I take the trouble to buy and wear a fish-shirt I'd like people to SEE what I have on my chest...

Wich is too bad, because I'm a great PC fan, for some time now.....

No... I didn't know about the Cafe Press store!

Post by Elspeth »

No help there for dark color shirts, I think. Drat. Otherwise, I like the shirts available and might just get one! I still think you should make the two Shane Linder went to... shirts available. Sorry to read that you didn't see any catfish!

I like the smaller logo shirts. The beauty of Cafe Press is that the store owners (members?) can offer any number of designs, without setup charges or minimum runs such as you'd see from a brick-and-mortar store. So they could do a larger image shirt for those who prefer them.

For pretty plecs, the opening screen zebra does have drama. I think my recently aquired L260 is the most gorgeous plec I've seen in person. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I could go for one of the "never mind me, I'm just a spot of riverbottom debris with armor plates" Classic Plecos... 8)

The shirt designs are okay. Maybe aside from the small logo at the front, you can also put a larger picture or the same logo (but larger) at the back. This is so people can see the website from the back as well. Now that I would like.

Sadly printing on black t-shirts has a number of technical issues that make it different from printing on light colours. If anyone finds a similar site to cafepress.com that DOES do black t-shirts then let me know and I'll investigate.

In the meantime, I'll look into "non-microscope" designs for you...
