Help...my Gibby has a damaged nose, which has been a bit white for some time now. But lately the area of white has become larger, and now looks infected.
(The Gibby is about 8 yrs old, and is about 7" in a 60 litre tank.)
Does anyone know what can cause such a thing? A sharp rock? repeatedly crashing into the glass?
And what I can do to help him?
G.Gibbiceps can be quite boisterous at times, and will quite happily wedge itself into crevices face first! One of my fish is extremley 'rough' and has this white calous due to the way he dives nose first into everything. As he has got abit older, (and wiser) he has calmed down a lot and no longer has this. However, if it is infected you need to provide a bit more information as to what this infection looks like, how long he has had it, tank conditions etc etc
