Who could show me a picture on Zuchini

I come from China. I am not certain the Vegetable you always mentioned as Zuchini.

Any photo for my reference. I only know cushaw and cucumber and feed Loricaria with these 2 ones.

They are normally big also, at least 1" in diameter and about 4"-6" in length.

These are VERY VERY YUMMY!

You can get the standard Zucchini talked about here so far (Cucumber shaped), or a UFO shaped, round or 8-ball zucchini.

I would reccommend looking at seed stores like Stokeley (or Stokely), they are easy to grow. In fact, you normally have too much.

When I feed that to my 2-sailfin PLECOs, and 2- CLOWN PLECOs, I'll have to clean it very well because of fertilizer, and bacteria that may kill off my fish!

Good luck, and over here in the US they are great in stir fry or even in salads!

Some people are even brave enough to make then into BREAD!!!! (I'm not that brave!)

Maybe it's a bit off topic but.... Zucchini bread is excellect stuff! Think of banana bread w/ a slight adjustment on the ingredients (more sugar, no bananas).

Find a recipe & try it sometime, especially if you have more than your fish can eat. You won't be sorry.. But like pturley said, any squash makes excellent ple co food for those that eat it.

I just learned from a friend in Kunming who said he had eaten this vegetable. But also he could not find it in the market. Maybe the calling in Beijing is very different from that in Guangzhou. I have checked with some old woman in Guangzhou. It seems no one knows it. Haha...I still need to find it.

Now I am feeding squash and cucumber for my plecos.

BTW, it is off topic. Cucumber is called "Huang Gua" in Beijing. But in Guangzhou it is called "Qing Gua".

I am fairly sure it is one, but it could be a cucumber. What does the inside look like? Is it most solid with seeds, or kind of like a tomatoe with seeds surrounded by something pulpy?

Zuccini is also known as courgette in Britian which may or may not help you find it. You can probably easily come across eggplant and I would see how your pleco's take to it, might take a few tries before their discover it. Any of your types of asian lettuce will also be appreciated by pleco's, again once they discover it.
Lightly blanch stuff before feeding, it makes it sink slightly easier, but I use clips to hold the material down and freeze any extra that I have.
