Hi, I have just added 3 Synodontis Petricola to my 180 litre Tanganyikan set up also containg 4 Ocellatus a couple of Calvus and a few Cyprichromis Leptosoma.
They are only an inch long and have vanished into the Labyrinth of caves, being new to keeping Petricola I have a few questions
Is 3 enough?
Will I ever see them apart from the odd glimpse (if not thats fine as long as they are happy/healthy)?
I feed my other fish a special frozen tanganyikan mix plus the usual dry foods, is this ok for them?
Can you mix the different types of Synodontis from Lake Tanganyika?
sorry for all the questions but I like to get things right.
New to Synodontis Petricola

I'm new to S. petricola as well. I added 12 of them to my 150G Malawi tank last week. It takes a while for me to spot them as they are tiny <1" SL and they do like to hide in the rocks.
They will eat any leftover cichlid food. I also feed them frozen daphnia, which sinks to the bottom, coating all the surfaces with a thin layer of dead dapnia. Sit back and watch their bellies swell as they scoot around hoovering it all up! I also feed Hikari sinking wafers and algae wafers, which are happily accepted.
