Identification Help Needed

The photos in this album are not the best, but hopefully will help you help me identify this fish. It looks somewhat like L147 in some photos, but not much in others. Seems to be doing alright, but I want to be sure to offer him/her the right foods.

Don't think it's L075. The fins are banded, not spotted as in L075.
Looks more like a young Peckoltia sabaji (L301) or the "L205" in the transfish site.

JHarv Are The fins banded or spotted (I can't tell from the pictures)? what size is the pleco?

Another picture side on with all fins erect would be nice

Because I can't tell any difference between L75 and L301 (Ancistomus sabaji) - or does anybody know differences of them, I would say its none of them. Because it was called "Rondonia Pleco" also L208 comes in question. I have seen to little specimens to know about the variety of this species. At first glance I would say that the pattern in the fins and the dots in the head are different, but who knows about the variety of this species?

I agree that it is not 075. The fins have no red, and I believe are more spotted than striped. I have taken a much better picture and will post it soon. I appreciate you guys helping me out.

As far as I am concerned, L75, L124 and L301 are all the same fish and this fish has been described as Peckoltia sabaji. If memory serves, these are Brazilian, Venezuelan and Guyanan respectively. If you follow DATZ/Isbrucker et al then it must be Ancistomus sabaji. Whatever you call it, it is a highly variable fish with a wide distribution range.

That said, I don't think these are close enough to the pictured fish to make a positive ID and I look, very much, forward to seeing the better pictures.

That is the closest I have found...
The markings are there, only the coloration differ a bit, but it could be due to several reasons

Hello,

The fish that I've seen sold as Rhondonian pleco locally, match up with L207. Likewise, the head shape and rear portion of the body in the photos are very similar to that fish. However, the larger spots on the head don't. I'm curious if the more scribbled pattern on the head could be associated with the age, or size, of the fish. The one in the photos appears to be rather small. Could also be a color variant?

So is this fish omnivorous, or mainly vegetarian? Are most Loricariids omnivorous? I unwittingly purchased a Pseudacanthicus leopardus not knowing it was carnivorous. These two seem to be co-habitating without incident, the leopardus seems strictly nocturnal, I haven't seen it for days, but it (or someone) is feeding well on the buenos aires tetra filets I have been leaving for him.
