3D Background for Hypancistrus and Hemiancistrus

Post by emanuel »

I am planning my next tank, where I would like to transfer the entire population that I have in the current one and I am very fascinated by 3D aquarium backgrounds, for example those produced by aquadecor or Back to Nature. Are there any contraindications considering that I would be breeding Hypancistrus and Hemiancistrus subviridis? In the past I have often read that plecos, by gnawing, could ingest poisonous substances, but does this apply to all species or just some?
sorry for my bad English

Not that I'm aware of, but it's a lot more fun to build your own. Hypancistrus are not known for being heavy "gnawers".

Thanks for the reply

Yes yes, building one is also an option. I thought the same thing, Hypancistrus are not great nibblers, maybe Hemiancistrus are just a little more, but not really that much.
