Hey guys, I received the pseudopimelodus bufonius a week ago and I'm wondering if it's a cf bufonius(not sure about the catch location).

Without knowing catch location, we can't tell the difference between real P. bufonius and P. cf. bufonius. The meaning of the "cf" is "conferred as." In other words, without additional information, they look the same.
