Early Christmas

Post by naturalart »

So one of my local fishshops is replacing all their tanks. All fish half off!? I couldn't resist.

Leporacanthicus triactis 2 males $20.00 each US
Ancistrus sp. Honeycomb 1 $20.00 US
Bagrichthys macracanthus 1 $12.00 US!

All very young fish. I almost got a Synodontis flavitaeniatus but I'm going to have a hard enough time finding good spaces for the ones mentioned above.
I don't know how much cheaper you can get these beautiful animals but, Thank you Santa!!

Very nice! I recently went through buying a whole bunch of plecos at a good price and realising I didn't really have the space to accommodate them all. I like your restraint, trust me it saves on headaches later!

"Bagrichthys macracanthus 1 $12.00 US!"

That's amazing!

Are you implying Eric is often visiting Folsom? Lol

Also, with Bagrichthys... Out of my current 8 set ups their tank is the only one without a single snail of any kind. I find that very odd.

Yea he is and yes I am. Shingle Springs, actually. But I do visit Folsom often, too, because that's where our fish club meets. Lee's is about 20-25 minutes further east of Folsom along HWY 50.

I got my six there along with a few .

Cheers,
Eric

That is interesting Shane. Do you think B. macracanthus is eating them?
I have a tank that has, since its setup more than a year ago, had only one large ramshorn snail in it. No babies what-so-ever. The only fish I can suspect is making that happen is my Hypancistrus debilattera or a cyprinid, Barbus faciolatus.
