at 15 days of age it is almost impossible to pinpoint who the parents are of these fry.. at this stage 90% of the fry look very similar to each other. i would give it 2 or 3 more weeks before they start growing into their adult colors.. anything right now would just be a guess..

Found 2 batch of eggs with an estimated count of 120+ eggs. Eggs were 1 to 1.2mm big and whitish in colour. Hatch rate was about 90%.

damnit,

firstly they are not C. hastatus, they have a totally different colour pattern.

secondly they could be any one of the others, it will a month before the pattern will be recognisable.

Finally could you add you location to your profile.

6 schwartzi
5 similis
4 arcuatus
3 ambiacus
3 loxozonus
4 atropersonatus
1 aeneus + 4 albino-aeneus
5 venezuelanus-orange

Still too young to tell, but I have a feeling these will turn out to be C. davidsandsi.

Thanks Ian!! Will try to get a picture of them when they're 5 or 6 weeks old. Right not, they're already feeding on tubifex and the maximum size of the fry is 12-14mm :D
