adding a gold nugget w/ and adonis?
hi, can i add a gold nugget L018 to a 50 gal tank with a 4" A. adonis? I heard that nuggets are very territorial with other nuggets and i'm just wondering if it would mistake the adonis for another nugget and get nasty with it?

I would worry more about it the other way. In my experience, Acanthicus adonis are nasty customers - even little ones. Give your tank lots of hiding places and feed 'em at separate ends, or prepare for full-contact pleco warfare. Or better yet, buy a much, much LARGER tank to house the adonis in (alone).

Hi!
50 gallons is really too small for both fish...
I would go anything under 100gal for a Gold Nugget and regarding Adonis, even 500 gallons will be a bit small, they really fit best in a pool of several 1000 gallons...
In a 50 gallons you should house Loricariidae that don't grow over 6 in...
Member of the genus Hypancistrus and of the Panaque dentex species group should do fine in such tank...
Cheers
