Re: cannot post
What happened? Obviously, your "cannot post" post did post. Did you have trouble replying in another thread?
FWIW, I recently replied to your thread on L454. When I submitted my reply, I received an error message, so I thought my post didn't go through. And yet, when I returned to the page to try again, there was my post, as if nothing had gone wrong.
Here is the error message I received (in fact, I just got it again as I replied here, and yet, here is my post. It went through even though I got the error message):
Best regards,
Eric

Re: cannot post
Also I see that when I edit an existing post, I don't get any error message. And weirdly, when I posted this post, I did NOT get any error message).

Re: cannot post
That is a rare error indeed, it's to do with the TLS encryption that supports the secure connection users have with the site - that's what gives us the padlock icon in the browser address bar. These credentials ("keys") are renewed from time to time and I can only suggest that this happened in the milliseconds while a post was in flight. Not sure about the greater detail behind it and if it doesn't repeat, I'm afraid I can't investigate more.
What we unhelpfully call in the trade "transient network conditions" which is tech bs for "random stuff that happened and is not likely to happen very often at all again".
I'll archive this for now but please do let me know if it's problematic ongoing.
