Catfish Badge
Found this at the bottom of my bits and pieces box. I used to work with Gina Sandford and knew Mike as well as this came from them many many moons ago!

Re: Catfish Badge
So, even the pins hide? And people wonder why our catfish tanks look empty.

Yes it’s metal, brass coloured, and I think painted. There was, if I remember correctly, a set but I can’t remember which others were included.

Re: Catfish Badge
That is really cool. I had no idea you knew the Sandfords. They disappeared off the scene around the time I started but obviously catfish legends. Never met them, much to my regret.
This is the official badge of the CAGB from the 1980s I think. @Coryman will know, he drew most of them and also the most recent one is ... The CSG still produces badges each year started by this CAGB tradition - if anyone wants to buy any they can be had via the CSG.

Re: Catfish Badge
They do exist. @corywally could advise on how to buy. Don’t want to show off, but I also have red tail catfish mardi gras beads.

Re: Catfish Badge
Thanks Jools and yes, Gina sometimes worked at the same aquatic retail outlet as me, and Mike would come in from time to time. I had a feeling the badge was related to something, and now you mention CAGB, that's the one! I was a member I'm sure and had the 'magazines', but think they must have got lost in a house move many years back.Jools wrote: ↑10 Sep 2022, 08:48That is really cool.
