Jewel Tanks
They are beautiful, every time I see a picture of one I want it
We don't have anything similar in the States, at least not that i can afford
Just out of curiosity how expensive are they?
I assume that they are sold in liter size so a Jewel 480 would be a 480L tank?
What kind of filters do they have?
Just curious

Re: Jewel Tanks
Jewel is the most cheap brand you can find - but i don't have any experience with them
Each one has lousy dimensions. More height than width for one, and standard TL will not fit, that is you are obliged to buy their, expensive, tubes.
With regard to the filters, they are internal and, in my opinion, too small. And yes, a Jewel 480 should have 480 liters.

Re: Jewel Tanks
They're not bad, had a couple over the years. Agree they are odd sizes but the quality is OK. The only real negative for me is that you have to use their kit, like replacement lights, filter parts etc. But, it's not bad kit for a one-off living room display tank. Not really one for the fishroom.

Buy a Fluval, just as good if not slightly better than Juwel.

Re: Jewel Tanks
Juweltanks are just fine.
Have had a couple of them for years.
The filters are easy to operate and the lighting is oke.
It's more or less the Mazda of aquariums.
Not spectacular but decent fishkeeping is very much possible.

Re: Jewel Tanks
Worth noting that you can remove the filters in the tanks and a number of companies now sell Jewel compatible light tubes. Decent tanks for an all in one plug and play setup.
