Post by CatfishChris »

Hi,
I've raised 2 groups of F1-F2 C.Similis 20-25 total (2 diffrent blood lines) & was wonder size & age to try to breed them, most are 1 1/2" in size & are about 10 to 11 months old ,easyly sexable, right now there in 2 lg grow out tanks with some other corys, was going to move a mixed group of them into a 20 gal tank, sand bottom etc etc & try to breed them.Do you guys think there ready?

According to Corymans excellent book on breeding Corydoradine catfishes, both males and females should be big enough to spawn at 1½". According to his breeding log, the males were 30mm and the females 32 mm when he managed to breed them.
