Indeed I figured it was an error. I was just trying to imagine how it occurred. The two names appear to be typed the same. When I've tried to add a species name and the name already exists, the function tells me the name is already in the database.

I can only imagine that the two submissions were so close together in time that the database did not have enough time to update itself before cross-checking the existing names (which perhaps didn't yet include the first submission) against the second submission, and thus the resubmission was allowed. X_X
