Leopard Frog dilemma
Last year breeding season my males where tail wagging but no females where interested. This year I added another adult female, males are wagging again females are definitely getting bigger( assuming they are producing eggs). Im using RO mixed with tap ph around 8 tds 38 gh 1 kh 1, tank water is ph7 tds 90 haven't tested gh and kh yet, what can i do to push the over the hump? I have done 30% water changes 3 days in a row stopped for a week then did a 50% one. Should i do more consecutive water changes? maybe 5 days? my group is a wild caught group that I have had for 20 months now imported for Heks discus

Re: Leopard Frog dilemma
How often are they getting the chopped prawn? I'd up the meat and increase the frequ of water changes in case the food impacts water quality.

Re: Leopard Frog dilemma
30C is good. Twice a week prawns is fine. Maybe mix with other meats? (scallops, clams, or, if you have access, live worms for food). Just to give the fish "the spice of life" with variety.

Re: Leopard Frog dilemma
Here are my experiences with them: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32242&hilit=l134
In summary, spent ages trying to breed them (simulating seasons, RO water, etc.), then gave up, other than weekly 30% water changes with de-chlorinated tap water, feeding them a mix of pellets, and frozen foods, then several months later they spawned!
They were wild caught, bought as young adults, the dad appeared to look after the eggs well even the first time, as I only knew they had spawned after finding 20+ young in the tank!
Good luck.
