I have a small colony of young L199s who I am hoping will breed once they mature. The internet is offering conflicting information on what temperature this species prefers, so I figured I would ask the experts here. PlanetCatfish and SeriouslyFish species profiles suggests they like it cooler than other Hypancistrus species, from 23-26C, but I've come across other sites saying 27-29C is better.
Currently the tank is at 25C.

Re: Temp for breeding L199
Hi EmilyO,
Did you read the three breeding reports? They all had success around 28C, but there is definitely a 2-3C range They report.
Cheers, Eric
